Shop

Where are you based?

Originally from the UK, I moved to Melbourne, Australia in February 2024.

Where do you ship from?

I am currently only shipping from Australia. I am also working on shipping from the UK too (so keep your eyes peeled for cheaper shipping costs if you are based outside of Australia).

Do you ship internationally?

I am currently shipping copies of my book and custom poems internationally.

How much is shipping?

This is dependant on where you are ordering from. My shop is currently based in Australia, and am currently working on getting some stock to ship out from the UK (to hopefully get free shipping for any UK customers). For any further or more specific questions regarding shipping, please get in touch by filling out the contact form at the bottom.

Are copies of your book signed?

If you are wanting to purchase a copy of my book and want it signed, please get in touch as you are placing your order so I can sign it before I ship it out to you.

How long will my order take to arrive?

This depends on what and when you order.

If you order a non-commission product (my book or bookmarks for example), I try to get all orders to the post office within two working days from when the order was placed.

For a customised poem, I try to get all custom poems finished within a week before posting your poem to you. If I am super busy with commissions, this may be a bit longer, but I will update you should it take longer than a week for me to perfect your precious poem.

If you are wanting your order for a specific date, please order with enough time. For commissioned poems, please let me know the date for which you need your piece by, and I will aim to get it for you by that time.

FAQs

Commissions ❋

How do my custom poem orders work?

1. BOOK IN FOR CONSULTATION.
To explore the themes and images you want portrayed in and the length of your personalised poem. This session lasts around 30 minutes. This session will also include a discussion on how you want your poem to physically look.

2. I GET WRITING!
I will then get writing your poem based on what we have discussed in the previous session, and will send you a finalised copy of the poem. You should receive your final poem within a week of your consultation with me (make sure to check your junk email).

3. PAYMENT AND POSTED!
Once you are happy with the final poem, and have decided on the physical qualities of your commission, I will hand write your poem onto beautiful pressed paper, and post your poem out to you once I have received the final payment.

How do I order a custom poem?

Fill out the booking form on the commissions page of the website to book in for a consultation with me. This session will include a discussion of what you want your poem to look like theme wise and on the page also. I will then write your poem and send you the final version (which at that point you can still ask me to alter or tweak). Once you're happy with the poem, I'll hand write it and post it to you.

What should I prepare ahead of the initial poem consultation?

Whether you're wanting a poem for yourself or as a gift for someone else, have a think about what you want your personalised poem to include. This could be themes or imagery, or personal details or qualities of a person you're gifting the poem to. Have a think of whether you want the poem to be a love poem like an ode, or just to have romantic connotations, for example. Is the poem a journey, a tale of your relationship with a friend or partner, or an inspirational piece to pop on your wall to motivate you and pick you up each day. Because I seal the envelope with a wax stamp, have a think about what colour wax you would like me to use also - otherwise I'll use a nice colour of my choice. Have a think about what size paper you want the final handwritten piece to be on also. I currently only offer A5 size of pressed paper.

How much does a custom poem cost?

A short poem costs $25 and a long poem costs $30. The prices take into consideration the consultation cost and the time it takes me to write your poem, to cover the costs for the products (e.g., the pressed paper) I'll use for your final poem, and for packaging. Postage is not included in the total price as this just depends on where you are ordering from. See my postage FAQs section for more info on postage costs.

How do you present your custom poems?

I hand write each commission on quality pressed paper that I currently only offer in A5 size. I then pop the hand written poem in a pressed paper envelope, and seal it with a wax stamp. I do not fold the poem once it goes into the envelope so you have the option to frame it once you receive it. I pop the pressed paper envelope inside a do not bend envelope to send it to you to avoid any damage to your poem on its way to you, and to also allow you to write a name on the front of the pressed paper envelope when it arrives to you should you be gifting the poem to someone else.

What if I complete a consultation and no longer want the poem?

If I have not started writing your custom poem, you will only be charged the £5 consultation session cost (assuming we completed the consultation).

If you booked in for a consultation but cancelled and/or didn't reschedule, you will be refunded for the cost of the session, and won't be charged for the remaining cost for the poem.

What sizes for final write ups are available?

I currently offer handwritten custom poems on A5 pressed paper.

How long will my custom poem take to arrive?

Depending on how many commissions I have to complete / fulfil, the time may vary. I will let you know upon completing a consultation session together how long I think it will take me to get the poem finished and posted out to you.

Consider ordering your custom poem with me early if you are wanting to receive the poem by a certain date, if you are wanting to gift the poem to someone, for example.
